For me, railway modelling is first and foremost about modelling history. This is the motivation to work as close to reality as possible.
By profession a geographer, after my studies I ended up with my family in Northern Norway, to be precise in the small village of Haukenes on the Vesterålen archipelago, north of the Arctic Circle.
I have a small scale biodynamic farm with cows, sheep and vegetables. And if I'm not milking a cow, feeding the sheep, building a courtyard, repairing a fence or digging with my hands in the soil - then there is a bit of time to deal with the history of the Royal Saxon State Railways and everything around and in the end to try to transfer it as finely as possible into the model.
